Ma'am Just Like You

A Note from Teacher Twinkle-

I am from Twinkle, teacher at Malsiamau School. I experienced something different today with my little children and I want to tell you about it. Today, due to rain, only two children came to my class and the entire class was empty. So I sent those two children to another class close to their level, Honey Dew class, and gave them an activity to keep them working. Then I went to the Beginner Class, the youngest of our students at Malesiamau. 

Today, their teacher was absent. Akanksha Ma'am was teaching in her place today, so I also went to the class and sat among the children. All the children were working. I called some children to me and started watching their work. There were two girls there I want to tell you about. The name of one girl is Maryam and the name of the other girl is Shahnaz. Both of them came to me to check their work. I had checked their previous work and after seeing their beautiful writing, I gave them a good star.

Then I asked both of them what they both want to be when they grow up. Maryam looked at me and smiled. When I asked this again, Maryam said, "Ma'am, I want to become a teacher just like you." Then Shahnaz also said the same.

So I asked both of them, "Why do you guys want to be like me?"

Shahnaz stammering said, "Ma'am, you love us like mom and dad, you take care of us."

What joy filled my heart in the moment. I hugged both of them tightly. These lines were very heart touching for me. Today I learned that children notice our smallest effects. Even a hug or loving hand on the head fills our children with love.
