Since March 2020, much has been changing. Jan Pragati staff has been and is committed to continually helping our beneficiaries and their communities.
​
Because of COVID-19, we've lost ...
daily education for kids in our slums, our ability to gather in our schools, meeting in our office space, daily visits to the slums for women's empowerment, our sewing school, temporarily closed.
​
Even though we have not been able to meet in person, our methods will change for the moment but our vision still hasn't changed to- Bring honor, justice, dignity, and beauty to families by alleviating poverty.
​
We will adjust by:

Smaller groups will be meeting in the slums a few times a week, checking in with families.

Education is trying to become more digitized with our teachers recording school lessons.

Health and Speak Life seminars will go online
-
With continued COVID-19, we will help distribute needed supplies and increase awareness.

Continued support for pregnant women in Mekhi's home
